The 28th edition of the popular Donostia race will raise funds for ATZEGI and aims for a “practically nil” carbon footprint.

Donostia-San Sebastián – The Guipuzcoan capital is preparing to host the 28th edition of the Salto 15K San Sebastián 2025, an event that has firmly established itself as much more than just a sporting contest. This year, the organisation is reinforcing its commitment to key values such as equality, sustainability, social inclusion, and solidarity.
The main event will take place on Sunday, 26 October 2025, with the start of the flagship 15K race scheduled for 10:00 AM from the Avenida de Madrid. The course, which is almost entirely flat and urban, will guide runners through the city’s most iconic landmarks, including the La Concha and Zurriola promenades and the Buen Pastor Cathedral, before finishing at the Anoeta Miniestadium.
👟 A Race for All: Inclusion and Adapted Sport
One of the cornerstones of the Salto 15K is its inclusive nature. The event integrates individuals of all abilities, featuring the participation of athletes with reduced mobility competing in wheelchair and handbike categories.
Furthermore, this edition will welcome athletes with intellectual disabilities, reinforcing the race’s DNA as a truly integrated event.
Solidarity is also taking centre stage. This year, the “solidarity bib” will support ATZEGI, the Guipuzcoan Association for People with Intellectual Disabilities. One euro from every registration will be donated to the cause, with principal sponsor Salto System adding an additional €2,500.
